Marymede Catholic College is excited to annouce the introduction of our new Marymede Cricket Academy. The Marymede Cricket Academy will commence here at the College in 2017 for students in Years 4-9. This program will commence in the coming weeks.

This is an opportunity for Marymede’s cricketers to take their sporting performance to the next level through participation in cricket specific clinics running across Term 2, 3 and 4. We are looking for students who are enthusiastic and committed to cricket as well as those wanting to learn how to play the game for the first time.

The program will be delivered by, Cricket Coach, Tim Jessel. Tim has been an integral part of the development of the MCA as head coach. Tim currently competes at Sub-District turf level (Preston Cricket Club) and has played at both Premier and Sub-District 1st XI levels. Tim has also worked with Cricket Victoria in coordinating and coaching Milo In2Cricket programs and with successful SACCSS Premier League winners for a number of years at Marymede Catholic College. He also has the resources to provide additional coaches as required by MCA, including those who have coached SACCSS teams.

Any student interested in applying for a position in the Academy is asked to please complete the attached application form and return to the Sport Department by no later than Wednesday April 26.
