In this edition of 'Meet the Teacher' we speak with Mr. Callum Gestautas, a new member of our Year 3 Teaching Team.

What is your role at the College?
I’m lucky enough to be a part of the fantastic Year 3 Teaching Team. This year I’m teaching Year 3.1 as well as our Technologies specialist class.
Tell us about an interesting project or topic that you are currently working on with one of your classes?
As it is just the beginning of our school year, our class is getting to know each other and establishing routines that will help us to have the best year we can – they’re also giving me a lot of help finding my way around the school!
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
There is always a moment during the year where you get to witness things just ‘click’ with students. It’s so satisfying to be able to look back at the year with a student as they recognise how much growth they have made and what they have achieved.

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: I like to build things - Over the last six months I’ve built an enormous hardwood dining table for our home.
Favourite Sporting Team: Roo Boys! So glad we’ll be joining the AFLW in 2019 (hopefully we have more luck there!)
If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why?:
Tough one! I’m really not sure, though they would have to enjoy pork belly – that’s my go to ‘impressive’ dish.
