There was history in the making for Marymede Catholic College on Thursday April 21, with our Year 10 Boys Premier League Soccer team capturing the College's first ever Boys Soccer Championship after a scintillating contest with St. Monica's College.
In a close contest and playing away from home, a brace from Lee Missailidis put Marymede in-front before a late equaliser would send the game into extra time and the dreaded penalty shootout.
Our boys would save the best for last though - with a heroic performance by Man of the Match Goalkeeper Matthew Krstina saving two kicks from the spot and helping to see the team to victory with the shootout ending 3-1.
