Rochelle Carli - Year 10, 2016
Rough, quick strokes give my painting character. The painting of a single white wing on a black background represents the theme of renewal and spirituality. This angel wing is the representation of faith and spirituality. Tones and contrast are especially evident in my wing. Open space and asymmetrical balance also play their part in my interpretation of limitless renewal. This almost abstract painting aims to look at a wing in flight, spread open widely, ruffled and wild, and above all else, possessing a limitless power.
