This image connects with community and the country as the young girl is wearing a traditional outfit called a kimono in a shrine (Kiyomizu), which has been worn in Japan since the 5^th century. The image is also renewal as it is related to the theme spirituality and hope. The wooden plates behind the young girl are called ‘Ema’. It is believed in Japan that if you write your wishes and tie them up in a shrine, the wishes may come true.
